Christmas is almost here

And room 7 have a great year (i don't know if Mrs H thinks so) but we have had lots of fun and some good times! I hope the year 7's (to be year 8's) will have a good time next year without us and have as much fun as we have!

Lighting the Fire

Room 9 & room 7 watched Beauty and the Beast the movie in room 9. We watched it to start our inquiry learning by "lighting the Fire". The room was set up like a theatre to show us how to set up and act at the Beauty and the Beast production. After the movie we were given a task to pick a part in the production. E.G: playbill, front of house, tickets, brochures and seating.

Some people have not been following the road rules when biking to and from school. In room7 we have been doing road safety. So for our home learning grid we had to make road safety posters to reflect on the road rules and what do and not do when you are biking to and from school here is a photo to see all of our posters what we have done.

it's loud shirt day and we are having so much fun. Room 7 and TIS are supporting this annual appeal of the Hearing House and the Southern Cochlear Implant programme. Don't we look great!!

The science Road show!

On the 25th of August room 7, 8 and 9 went to the science roadshow at Mayfair school in Hastings. We learnt lots of different things about science! The themes for the show were astronomy, gravity and how things work . The was loads of fun and educational exhibits that everyone enjoyed! Then after we all had a good look at the exhibits it was time for the science show! The three presenters talked about sound, traveling sound, energy and the atmosphere. Everyone had heaps of fun and we are hoping that we can go next year!

Making Hydrogen Gas Explode

When Mr Wallis came into room 7 we did a awesome science experiment with hydrogen gas. Our goal was to make it BLOW UP! By mixing tin foil, bicarbonate crystals and hot water.
We then coverer the beakers WITH TIN FOIL THEN WE MADE A HOLE IN THE TIN FOIL AND HELD A MATCH OVER, THEN boom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
